Junior Forums, Inc. presents "Boxed"

an annual state service project

February 27, 2022 the ladies of SAJF partnered

with six other Texas Junior Forum chapters at the

Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake Texas to support

Project Joy and Hope.  Laundry baskets of cleaning supplies

were prepared to aid families residing at The Tulip Project;

a family friendly residential campus designed to support seriously ill

children and their families seeking treatment at the Texas Medical Center.

Junior Forum chapters throughout the state promote volunteerism

among women by providing an outlet for them to serve the

State of Texas.  We were thrilled to work with ladies

from Austin, Cypress-Woodlands, Georgetown, Houston,

Nacogdoches and Pasadena Bay to accomplish this goal!

Volunteer Membership Meet & Greet

We all had fun at shopping and snacking at

Vintage Market Days at The San Antonio Rose Palace

November 5th, 2021 and again at our annual

Friendsgiving dinner on November 16th!  A beautiful holiday

celebration was hosted by Sharon & Kevin where members and

significant others were invited to a pot luck meal

and to master the "left right game"!

There is always room for a little fun with fellow volunteers!

high school students to receive scholarships, or participating in varied

service projects throughout the community?

If the answer is yes, then this is the organization for you.

next community service project!

During the month of March, the ladies of SAJF supported Soldiers' Angels "Warm Feet for Warriors" project by donating over 250 pairs of new socks to deployed service members, veterans and those in VA hospitals!  Lots of black, gray, white and multicolored crew, long, ankle, no show socks, hospital non-skid, and even 3 pairs of navy/gold for that Sailor who might be in need!  Socks were delivered in person on April 1st and ladies received a huge thank you from Soldiers' Angels Director of Gifts Clark Rachuig!

April 3rd, ladies volunteered to support the Southwest School of Art by working at the Fiesta Arts Fair. Widely recognized as one of the most family friendly Fiesta events of the year, volunteers worked the Drink Booth exchanging coupons for soda and water and helping a lead artist while children worked on their art activities in the Young Artist Garden. The project was a fun activity for all with free admission to the fair, time after the shifts to experience live music by regional artists, traditional foods, and the contemporary art of over 100 artists from across the United States!

April 9th, SAJF ladies were headed downtown to support the primary fundraising event for the King William Association - the King William Fair! Volunteers worked the admission gates to help raise funds to preserve and protect one of Texas' oldest historic neighborhoods. After shifts were completed, volunteers had the opprotunity to visit 50+ shops, 200+ food booths, 6 stages of musical entertainment and one of the funkiest parades in town!  A great time was had by all!
