Thank you for your interest in the San Antonio Junior Forum (SAJF) grant funding process. SAJF is a volunteer women's organization that has provided the San Antonio region with a variety of civic, educaitonal and philanthropic services since 1961, and in doing so, has enhanced the lives of our members and the community. 

Why is this important to our organization?

Grants support our mission to strengthen civic, educational, and philanthropic awareness among women as they strive to serve those in need through service to non-profit charitable organizations, provision of financial assistance to students seeking higher education, and provision of philanthropic grants to non-profit organizations in the San Antonio area.

What is the grant process? 

A public announcement will be made each year informing nonprofits in the San Antonio region that the grant-giving process is open.  No grant applications should be submitted until this announcement is made.

Grant applications may be submitted by tax-exempt 501(c)(3) regional organizations. Applications are accepted from non-profits seeking funding of $2,500 or less for specific projects that will benefit economically, emotionally and/or physically disadvantaged individuals. Organizations interested in submitting a grant application should review the grant application and guidelines in detail, and consider the following timeline: 

  • June 1:  Grant application available for download from
  • August 31:  Grant applications due to 
  • December 15:  Recipients of grants will be notified
  • February 15:  Recipients must show proof of publicit
  • December 15:  Recipients must submit receipts proving purchase of items
